Welcome Back

The AHHS Dance Faculty is so excited for everyone to be back for another year of dance! We have been hard at work planning for this year since last April and we have a ton of new and exciting things in store for you!

This year our theme is "We Move!" In the words of Henry Ford, we believe "that if everyone is moving together, success takes care of itself." For the AHHS Dance Department, "We Move" stands for welcoming, encouraging, motivating, vision and excellence. We are excited to see the impact these expectations will have on our department and Heights community. 

After School Ballet is Back

Carrie Dwyer is going to be teaching after school ballet every Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00 to 5:30. $80 per six weeks Click below for a registration form.

Department Fee is Due October 28th

This year we are offering 3 payment plans to accommodate all of our students.

1) payment may be paid in full ($175.00)  by Friday, October 28th
2) payments may be paid in two installments; half will be due ($87.50) October 28th and the other half on April 28th
3) payments may be paid in monthly installments on the following dates 9/9, 10/7, 11/4, 12/2, 1/13, 2/3, 3/3, 4/7, and 5/5 

We accept cash, checks and credit cards. Please make checks payable to the AHHS Dance Guild! 

Cookie Dough Fundraiser

In an effort to help students pay for their own department fee the AHHS Dance Department has teamed up with USA fundraisers. All students are expected to sell 20 items to support their passion for dance and cover their department fee. The money and order form is due to Mrs. B on September 12th during class.

Congratulations to Elle Quiroga, Gabby Miller, Dominique Roy and Naudia Shannon for being elected to represent your 2016-2017 AHHS Dance Department class! You all are going to do a fantastic job serving your peers and dance department. 

Three cheers to Lily Hendricks (Senior Liaison), Jeanine Quest (RDC Representatives) and Aleeza Garcia (Dance Captain) for being elected the first ever RDC leaders! You three ladies are going to be excellent!

Handbook Receipt is PAST due

The last page of your handbook and the field trip/media release was due on Monday, August 29th. Please turn this in ASAP as it is for a grade. 

Rush Student Tickets

Dancers if you are interested in receiving tickets to see shows at Bass Hall for a discount please visit http://www.basshall.com/experience/email-club/ and complete the form. Make sure you check the box for "student rush tickets." Student rush tickets are usually sent out a couple of days before a show opens.  

The AHHS Repertory Dance Company Concert is November 4th and 5th at the Sanders Theatre

The AHHS Repertory Dance Concert has been hard at work since the beginning of August learning new dances! Mark your calendars to come and see these talented dancers at the Sanders Theatre, November 4th at 7 pm and November 5th and 2 and 7 pm.  

The AHHS Repertory Dance Company needs your help!

In an effort to offset the expense involved with producing a dance concert RDC is participating in North Texas Giving Day. Ice Cream and Tie Dye ...what could be better?

On September 9th right after school all dancers are welcome to hang out, make friends, tie dye a shirt and eat ice cream. We hope you join us!

Are you looking for a place to continue your dance training after school hours? Texas Dance Conservatory would love for you to come dance with us!
